At right is the recommended work to prepare for Session 4, (not mandatory, but very helpful).

“Finding Another Path”

-Read tp. 3-9 of Positive White Identity “Finding Another Path,” and think about how we can be responsive, caring, joyful members of the beloved kindom.

-write Identity/Intention Statement, responding to the following prompts:

• Where did I come from, how did I learn to be white?

• What can I reject, even if it’s hard, from my background, and what can I embrace?

• How can I take responsibility for my continuing racial identity journey?

• How can I nurture a positive anti-racist identity in those around me as well as a larger anti-racist community?

• What are some specific short and long term actions you can take to take part in dismantling racism? (specific organizations, relationships, legislation, policies in your company, etc.)
