A Posting from Pastor Lindy
Hi Pilgrims,
Greyson and I have ensconced ourselves away from the office so that we each could do a deep dive on writing for Advent and Christmas. I know. I know. It isn’t even Halloween yet, and we are as early as Cosco, pulling out Christmas decorations in early October. So goes the life of the Church.
I raise our planning again, as I have only received 2 potential volunteer participants for Christmas Eve and none for Hanging of the Greens. My fingers are crossed that this lack of volunteerism is due to our general reluctance of signing up for anything and also waiting until the last minute to zero in on our availability. Please prove me right ;)
As the month is turning to November, I do ask you to glance at your calendar to see if you might be able and willing to join in our story-telling during either or both events. And if your spirit is willing, please let Hannah know so she can add you to our sparse list. You will probably hear a similar appeal from Rev. Greyson as he is in writing mode for our all ages Christmas Pageant. For those pilgrims whose inner child comes out during this season, he’s got an opportunity for you!
I see this collective, inclusive liturgies connecting us to each other through sacred stories to the Holy. The divine breath weaves us together in a covenant of belonging. A sentiment much in need these days. I pray each of us claims this feeling and leans into the tapestry that makes us whole.
love and grace,
Pastor Lindy
