A Letter from Lindy May 3
Hello Pilgrims,
It never ceases to delight me our Worshipful Work Sunday! And last weekend was no exception. 60ish Pilgrims gathered to roll up their sleeves, even with the drizzle, to tackle a literal mountain of woodchips that graced our front parking lot. So much more than we expected, but in good Pilgrim fashion we made use of every last one of them, thanks in part to Bartlett Tree Service adding their manpower and machines on Tuesday to disperse the remainder from Sunday across our campus.
A huge thank you to Alice Ratliff and the Board of Trustees who make this day happen each year. The sense of purpose, stewardship, and accomplishment was palpable throughout the morning. And the celebration of a job well done wove through our fellowship lunch. I know there were many people involved in the preparation, coordination, and clean-up of this yearly alternative worship and I am grateful for all of the ways we lend ourselves collectively to this effort. Thank you! Thank you!
We apologize alongside this thank you to those who tried to join online for the sanctuary part of our worship. Just as the service began, the power went out in the choir loft which fritzed out our YouTube connection. No matter the valiant effort of our tech team, we could not get it back in time for our brief time together. We are so sorry, but hopeful that this is all it was and things will go smoothly Sunday.
You will see from our calendar that our May and June are incredibly full with events throughout the next two months. More to come on each as we approach them. Collectively, they will make for a very full Spring, but one that will weave us together as community in both celebration and sorrow. Again, we will need many hands to make the work lighter, so please stay tuned for the ways in which you can pitch in.
grateful to be part of this wonderful, beloved community.
grace and peace,
Pastor Lindy
