A Letter from Lindy May 24
Hello Pilgrims,
As Nathan reviewed Pilgrim’s calendar for Council last night, he noted how full our May has been, and continues to be! June will follow a similar pattern. So much for the notion that Pilgrim rests quietly in summer luxury. We look to July for a month of slowing down.
Please hear my observation not as lamentation, rather an acknowledgement of the beautiful ways we hold sacred events with care–be they Pentecost, memorials, graduations, VBS, Youth Trips. All have a special place within the rhythm of beloved community. Grateful am I to journey with one that invests so deeply in its people.
I will use my space one final time to seek your assistance in surrounding the Norboge family as we thank God for the gift of Nick’s life. As I have written, our church will be filled with friends and family who offer testament to the ways in which Nick has touched their lives. With the anticipated numbers, we need many volunteers to offer Pilgrim hospitality to welcome folks to our campus. From parking assistance to greeters to set-up crew teams, any way you can lend a hand would be great. Please reach out to Hannah by phone or email to let her know how you might help. Please also confirm your attendance on the website Emily has created for this weekend of grateful memory.
I am grateful for all of the ways Pilgrims show up.
grace and peace,
Pastor Lindy
