During the month of June, our Race + Equity team is bringing opportunities to help us recognize and show care for the people of color in our wider community. One of those opportunities is our Royalties for Spirituals project, where we first celebrate how spirituals, created by people of color, enrich our worship experience. 

Because these artists were never given recognition or royalties for their music, any donations given (via the purple envelopes in the pew backs) will be given to young musicians of color to further their careers. Musicians like our recent interim choir director Jada! Help us lift up creators of spirituals who sing to our souls and give honor to those who did not receive it before.
