Dear Pilgrim Members,

The Church Council has called a congregational meeting for Sunday, August 30, immediately following worship. We will remain in the Sanctuary for this meeting and I will send out a link for a virtual option closer to the meeting.

There will be 3 items on the agenda: Voting on two proposed amendments to our bylaws, which I mentioned a couple weeks ago, and electing our new board members and officers.

Below are links to the materials for the meeting. I do urge you to review the proposed amendments and, if you have questions or concerns, please reach out to me so I can be prepared for any questions and discussion. Based on the conversations that have occurred with the Nominating Committee, Board of Trustees, and Council, these are both reasonable, justified, and fairly minor amendments, but as with any change to our bylaws it is important that we do it in an informed and communal way.

You also may notice that the document showing the board and officer nominees is 2 pages and looks slightly different than in past years. I wanted to have a single page that clearly stated who was in the election vote, as put forward by the Nominating Committee. The second page shows a full list of who the board members and officers will be for 2026-2027, should the congregation vote to elect the slate as presented by the Nominating Committee.
