Nora El-Khouri Spencer, MSW is the founder and CEO of Hope Renovations. A 15-year corporate HR professional, Nora switched directions and pursued a Master of Social Work from UNC Chapel Hill, where she developed an interest in social entrepreneurship. In Summer 2020, Nora combined her workforce development expertise, her experience in the construction industry, and her passion for women’s empowerment to launch Hope Renovations, training women and non-binary folks for living-wage jobs while helping older adults live safely in their homes as they age. Nora was recently recognized as one of the 2022 Top Ten CNN Heroes and is a recurring guest on the Drew Barrymore Show where she is known as “Nora the Tradeswoman”.
