In the spring, upon request from our Creation Justice Team, members of the New Hope Audubon Society visited our campus to evaluate it for assessment and provide advice for Pilgrim to move closer to being a Bird Friendly site. We learned a tremendous amount from the visit and report. One of the main areas that became obvious is that there is a great need to educate ourselves about the value of native plant species to enhance bird habitats. We also learned the detrimental impact of non native vegetation on the environment.

Barbara Driscoll, the current president of the New Hope Audubon Society has graciously agreed to provide a presentation on this topic. Prior to retiring she was a physical scientist for 27 years with the Environmental Protection Agency and continues to be an avid outdoor enthusiast.
