Pilgrimage to Wilmington

During March 28-30, a group of Pilgrims joined folks from United Church of Chapel Hill on a pilgrimage to Wilmington NC. We wanted to learn about the coup in Wilmington in 1898 and about the Wilmington 10.
We also were able to experience Wilmington from the water on a riverboat cruise, learn about the history of Wilmington on a bus trip provided by WilmingtonNColor, hear about the work of documentarian Christopher Everett who produced “Wilmington on Fire” (2015) and to worship with members of Gregory UCC. We were grateful for the wisdom of Rev. Ervin Milton and for the warm welcome we received at Gregory UCC.
