A Letter from Lindy April 27

Hi Pilgrims,

There is so much I could write about in this letter and the urge to fill this space with upcoming
activities, programs, needs and actions nips at my heels. Rue the day I say yes to Board and Council meetings the week after Holy Week/Easter when Pilgrim staff energy is ebbing low because of the extraordinary effort of the previous weeks. Deep gratitude I extend to Hannah and Felix for all of the ways in which they created possibility with energy and focus so we could ponder the mystery of resurrection.

And ponder we did through the glorious sound of music. Ali and Kyle could not have created a more perfect setting for our hearts, minds and souls to soar. Again my thanksgiving is overflowing at the time and effort they put it to linger in the garden with Mary and the other women who accompanied Jesus. With grateful hearts for our music leaders, I must also celebrate the incredible work of Pilgrim’s choir. Those were beautiful, but difficult pieces they performed spectacularly. This week, a well deserved rest! As always, we are also deeply grateful for the times our friends from SONAM join to amplify the gift we are given. I hope, like me, you held the memory of the music throughout Easter Day.

Let me keep going with thanksgiving for our incredible tech, fellowship and flower teams; our boards of Deacons and Trustees, our youth and all of the Pilgrims who quietly respond to the needs that arise, helping us become beloved community. Together, Pilgrim truly is a sight to behold.

I am sure I have unintentionally left person or group  off this list whose praises I should sing, but I sincerely hope not because I mean the expanse of my heartfelt thanks to be as wide as God’s mercy. Please forgive me if I did not call you by name. In no way do I intend not to offer you my deep gratitude

Praise be, Pilgrim.
